In the afternoon of 6. December 2019, we organized the bicycle tourism workshop meeting organized by the Vidék Kincse Egyesület. The aim of the event is to evaluate the situation and opportunities of the Felső-Tisza region in active tourism, to present the results achieved so far and the ongoing bicycle-friendly developments, as well as the cycling heritage tour network to be established during 2020. At the event, as part of a national and international perspective, we also presented innovative active tourism development initiatives that help to promote and develop cycling tourism in the region. The workshop also aimed to explore co-operation intentions and strengthen dialogue between organizations, municipalities and NGOs involved in the development of cycling tourism, as well as service providers, and to share the experiences of individual actors in the sector. The professional conference was implemented with the funding of the 1st call of the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Program Small Project Fund.
